Within a few days, our HSC exam will be over. You are willing to know my plan after the exam. It’s my pleasure that you still think about me. We studied in the same school till SSC. But because of my father’s transfer to a new city, we could not study in the same college.
You know since my boyhood my dream has been to be a soldier. You also know that someone has to apply to be a cadet trainee at Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) just after passing HSC. To be an officer of the Bangladesh Army is a dream of thousands of students. So, to get a chance for a BMA long course is not easy. I have to pass some hurdles. The hurdles are medical tests, viva, written tests, and last of all passing the process of the Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB).
Every single test is a challenge for a student to pass to be a soldier. For this, I would like to take some prior preparation. To do well in the viva the candidate must be good at speaking English. Because the viva goes on in English. Before publishing our HSC result I will get a few months to develop my speaking skills. So, after the HSC exam, I will concentrate on improving my speaking skills.
The written exam of the Bangladesh Army is very standard. If I do not study well it would not be possible for me to pass the written exam. Then comes ISSB. Here military specialist officers will test different types of physical and mental abilities and skills of a candidate. So, to overcome the tough barrier of ISSB I should have a good preparation. Just after the HSC examination, I will start taking preparation to fulfill my dream.
Every profession has the opportunity to serve the nation and homeland. I want to serve my country by being a soldier because my dream is to be a true patriot.
