(Paragraph-1): My Homeland Bangladesh

The synonym of homeland is the motherland. My homeland is Bangladesh. Bangladesh is a beautiful country surrounded by greenery on the shores of the Bay of Bengal in South Asia.

Bangladesh became independent in 1971. About 170 million people live here in an area of 1,48,460 square kilometers. As a result, Bangladesh is the most densely populated country in the world.

The capital city of Bangladesh is Dhaka. It is a big, beautiful, and bustling city. Dhaka is an attractive and mesmerizing city. So, people from home and abroad love Dhaka and want to live in Dhaka. Different types of food in Dhaka are world-famous. There are thousands of restaurants in Dhaka city. Besides, the street food of Dhaka is also extremely favorite among the people across the country.

My homeland is an agricultural country. Almost all the people of Bangladesh are related to agriculture directly or indirectly. The main agricultural products of Bangladesh are rice, jute, wheat, maize, tea leaves, fish, meat, egg, mango, jackfruit, vegetables, etc.

Through modern agricultural technology Bangladesh could increase the production of agricultural products. As a result, my motherland is now self-dependent on agriculture. The farmers of my homeland are hardworking and innovative. Because of the hard work of the farmers Bangladesh can feed her entire people. Though the farming land is not enough for this huge amount of people farmers are doing a great job by producing enough food. It is a miracle.

People across the world know my homeland as a land of rivers. Hundreds of rivers are flowing across the country. These rivers are the lifeline of my motherland. Because farmers get water for irrigation from these rivers. Besides, business people can easily carry their products from one part of the country to another part. People also travel from one city to another city on riverways. There are many busy and famous river ports in Bangladesh. They are Sadarghat, Narayanganj, Barishal, Chandpur etc.

The largest sea beach in the world Coxs Bazar is in the south of Bangladesh. Cox’s Bazar is not only the largest sea beach in the world but also the most beautiful sea beach. As a result, to enjoy the beauty of the Cox’s Bazar every year millions of tourists visit Cox’s Bazar from home and abroad. They enjoy the magnificent scenery of sunrise and sunset of Cox’s Bazar sea beach.

The world’s biggest mangrove forest is Sundarbans. My homeland is lucky because the biggest portion of this forest is in Bangladesh. And the remaining part is in India. The world-famous Royal Bengal Tiger lives in the Sundarbans. There are so many rivers and canals flowing along the Sundarbans. Fishermen of the Sundarbans catch a huge amount of fish from these rivers. Sundarbans is also famous for its extraordinary honey.

There are many historically important places in my motherland. Some of them are Sonargaon, Maynamoti, Mahasthangar, Lalbagh Fort, Ahsan Manjil, etc.

The second biggest city in Bangladesh is Chottogram. This city is also known as a port city. Besides, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Barisal, Sylhet, and Comilla are some big and famous cities.

The favorite food of the people of Bangladesh is fish and rice. My homeland has a cultural heritage of thousands of years. Moreover, Bangladesh is also a homeland of birds and flowers. There are innumerable beautiful birds and flowers available in Bangladesh. The people of Bangladesh are so friendly. They always help one another. Bangladeshi people know how to remain happy with limited resources.

(Paragraph-2): My Homeland Bangladesh

The official name of my homeland Bangladesh is the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The name Bangladesh comes from the language Bangla of the people of our country. So, the country of Bangla or Bengal is the English translation of Bangladesh.

The language Bangla is considered one of the sweetest languages in the world. Regarding land area, Bangladesh is the 94th largest country in the world and 26th in Asia. On the bank of the river Buriganga, Dhaka was founded as a city a few hundred years back. It is famous as a vibrant and unique city. In the list of the largest cities, the position of Dhaka is nine in the world.

The land area of my homeland is approximately 147,570 square kilometers. According to a recent survey, the total population of my country is about 160 million. Bangladesh is the 6th most densely populated country in the world. Nearly 1085 people live per square kilometer.

My homeland gained independence from Pakistan on December 16, 1971. The national flag of my motherland is a symbol of the country’s identity featuring a green field and a red circle in the center. The green represents the vast green fields and the red circle symbolizes the rising sun of independence.

Bangladesh has a close relationship with its neighboring countries and the countries of the rest of the world. My country maintains a foreign policy of friendship to all. The economic growth of my homeland has been significant over the years. The main exporting goods of Bangladesh are garments, leather, jute, etc. On the contrary, the main importing items of Bangladesh are edible oil, baby food, fruits, fuel, wheat, spices, onion, etc.

The national animal of Bangladesh is the Royal Bengal Tiger, the national fish is Hilsha, the national flower water lily (Shapla), the national bird magpie robin (Doyel), and the national fruit jackfruit. Wherever we look we see the pleasing and mesmerizing natural beauty of my homeland.

Our education system is world-class. Every year a large number of students from my homeland go abroad for higher study getting a good score in IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, etc. It proves that our students have high proficiency in the English language.

The people of Bangladesh are hard-working. Bangladeshi people are changing their fate with hard work and talent at home and abroad.
