Paragraph on Renewable Energy for HSC

The paragraph on renewable energy is very important for the SSC and HSC examinations. So, the SSC and HSC examinees should emphasize reading and writing the paragraph on renewable energy repeatedly to get good marks in the exam.

Best wishes to the students.

(Paragraph-1): Renewable Energy

There are two types of energy in the world. They are known as renewable and non-renewable energy. Renewable energy is also known as green energy. So far no negative impact of renewable energy on the environment is visible. We get renewable energy from sunlight, wind power, rain, sea waves, water (hydropower), etc. Coal and fossil fuels are examples of non-renewable energy.

Renewable energy doesn’t harm or pollute our environment. On the other hand, non-renewable energy emits carbon and causes pollution to the environment. We are consuming non-renewable energy very fast and the age of natural gas, coal, and oil will come to an end very soon.

We know sunlight, water, wind, etc. are the main sources of renewable energy. These natural energy sources do not pollute the environment by producing toxic gases like mineral oil. By increasing the use of renewable energy, we can keep our beautiful world free from the harmful effects of greenhouse gases. By replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy, we can keep the Earth habitable and prevent global warming. Because fossil fuels play the most important role in polluting air and an abnormal rise in temperature.

The amount of renewable energy in the world is unlimited. The world has ample renewable energy sources. But the problem is converting renewable energy to human use. There is no shortage of sunlight in the world. The power of sunlight is immense. But it requires a huge investment and effort to convert the energy of sunlight into electricity to use in homes or factories.

Similarly converting wind power into electricity requires a huge effort and investment for domestic and industrial use. There are enough sources of water in the earth. Water is also a great source of energy. When we produce electricity from water it is called hydropower. To set up a hydropower infrastructure a huge sum of money is required like solar power.

We should look for the substitution of non-renewable energy. Scientists all over the world are trying to replace non-renewable energy with renewable energy. Though renewable energy has so many benefits it is costly. Nevertheless, we hope through research renewable energy will be cheaper for us to use soon.

(Paragraph-2): Renewable Energy

Without energy modern civilization will stop its functioning. To keep the wheel of civilization moving energy is a must.

Energies are of two categories:

  • Renewable
  • Non-renewable

The quantity or amount of non-renewable energy is limited. So, at one stage the reserve of this energy will run out. If the world cannot find a substitute for non-renewable energy soon the future of human civilization is dark. So, nowadays renewable energy is a hot topic.

The sources of non-renewable energy are petroleum, coal, etc. On the contrary, the sources of renewable energy are wind, solar power, hydropower, geothermal energy, etc.

Scientists are working day and night to replace non-renewable energy with renewable energy. Renewable energy is the best substitution for non-renewable energy. Because we get renewable energy from nature. As a result, the resources of this energy are available around us. If we can invent the proper technology to produce renewable energy the cost will also be very low. As the source of renewable energy is nature so there is no fear of running out of this energy. Because there is a huge and unlimited source of renewable energy in nature.

When we use non-renewable energy like oil, coal, or gas it pollutes our environment by producing huge quantities of carbon dioxide. However renewable energy does not pollute nature. That is why we call this energy green energy or clean energy. So, for a clean and safer world, we also should emphasize using renewable energy. Renewable energy is a good choice for today and the days ahead.
